We recently gutted our bathroom and installed new everything including plumbing. When flushing the toilet, it initially burps (an air bubble comes up), and then it flushes fine. It is vented and there are no blockages. What is causing this?

Tara:–Whenever my toilet goes to burping, I just put a couple Rollaids in the tank, and it stops like magic……. OR it could be that the toilet bowl is not getting fully primed after each flush. Check to see if that little tiny tube that connects to the overflow pipe inside the tank is delivering enough water to fill up the bowl after each flush. It may have a kink in it or it may not even be connected to the overflow tube. Lots of luck…TEX.
