The bath tub faucet broke, one day I was going to take a shower, I pulled out the thing that makes the shower run, and the faucet broke off the wall. We went and bought a new one(a universal tub spout), and the same thing happens. I doesnt seem to get tight enough to the wall. What could be going on?

:Veronica, I think you are describing the diverter tub spout. This piece is below the handles/valve assembly. You usually have iron pipe or copper tube supplying the diverter spout. Either way I would suggest using a nifty Delta replacement spout. After the brass piece is connected to your supply pipe the actual spout can tighten by hand for a snug to the wall fit.
