I have a 50 gal gas hot water heater, my guess is 9 years old. We just purchased the house so Im not positive. The water is fairly cool, during a shower you have to turn down the cold all the way. The thermostat is turned to hot. The second problem is it will occasionally produce rusty water. Is this repairable??
Sounds like you could have a little bit of sediment built up on the bottom of your water tank. Shut off the gas and water to it and drain it and flush it. Also while it is drained remove the cold inlet and check to see if your diptube is still there…….Lou
: I am looking for information about Hoyt gas water heaters. Specifically I am interested in suppliers and distributors of Hoyt water heaters. If you could help me out it would be appreciated. Thank you.
I have a junkers hot water gas heater and the problem i am experiencing is it switches itself off for no logical reason, that is to me. i fiited a new thermostat and what i presume is called a magnatizer but the problem persists. i have even gone to the trouble of stripping the whole unit and even fitted a new regulator on the bottle. my question is please explain how the magnetizer works because when i do get the pilot flame going i can just touch or bump the heater and the flame will go out. please i am pulling my hair out already and o yes if i dont touch the heater when the flame is on the it will heat up for only a few minutes before going out or when i stop water flow i cant get it going again.
