Often, when I activate my kitchen faucet sprayer, nothing come out of it. When I move the facuet handle back and forth (i.e., to hot then cold then hot again), the sprayer starts to work normally. Since the sprayer itself is not clogged and the hose is not kinked, my only guess is a bad diverter valve in the faucet assembly.I can find all kinds of web sites and home repair books that verify that this is likely the problem, but no one can tell me how I go about replacing the diverter valve.Anyone have any tips or suggestions? Thanks.

You will have to specify the make and model of faucet. There are many different diverters and they are also located in different areas of the faucet.: Often, when I activate my kitchen faucet sprayer, nothing come out of it.
