Replacing hot water tank

: Im reasonably handy. Should I consider replacing the tank myself? Can the existing pressure relief valve be used on the new tank? Any helpful hints? Thanks. It is against all codes to reuse a T&P relief valve. If trying to install yourself all manufacturers instructions.
