Most likely your diptube has disintergrated, causing the cold water to be discharged before it is heated. It is attached to your cold water inlet, unscrew and replace. Also try geting ahold of the manufacturer of your particular hot water tank, they have been pretty good about replacing faulty diptubes. : I have a reliance 501 serial no. L91795624. I would like to know what to put the thermostat on in the bottom panel? We keep running out of hot water and when I turn it up it kicks the reset button off. thank you
