Old Crane wall sinks

We buy faucets hard to find faucet parts from Marlin or Imsco. I would call a local plumbing hardware store that advertises hard to find parts. If you cant find anything in DC, try Montibello Hardware in Balto. This search is going to be a labor of love, so be prepared. Our catologs list some parts still available for 50 year old Crane faucets. If you find a supplier thats helpful, you will have to take the handle and stem to them to see if they can match it up in their catologs ( the catologs contain exact size replicas of the parts). Generally , plumbers tend to shy away from these type repairs because it is extremely cost prohibitive, or worse the search comes up NLA (no longer available) Good luck.

If the faucets are leaking from the spouts, then your plumber should be able to buy the Crane Dial-eze stems. I use them frequently and always have two or three pairs in my truck. The unit is a complete item and replaces the entire working mechanism to make the faucet as good as new. If the leakage is where the faucets mount to the sink, that is more of a problem and he will have to improvise with different seals. Possibly a lavatory drain washer.: We have two late 1940s/early 1950s Crane wall-mounted bathroom sinks : with built-in porcelein spouts and globe-shaped faucets. A faucet leaks : on each, and our plumber tells us parts cant be found to replace their : workings. Is this something you are familiar with? We would like to : save these very unusual sinks and faucets if at all possible. Thank : you.

They date back about 50 years. I would like to simply stop the leaking.Any suggestions? Any would be helpful.
