My toilet tank cracked today and is leaking..I have tried to seal it with caulk and have a bucket under the leak to catch the water, I have also turned off the water supply to the tank and am putting in water manually…I know I will have to replace but is there anything else I can do until I can call the plumber on Monday…Thanks

RE: Tank a leakin. J. no there is not a cracked tank should be turned off. Use 5 gallon bucket 2 gallons a flush pour in bowl 12 above rim and to the right of bowl outlet to create a swirl pour fast. Also check the plumbers state license before you let him do work.Mark T. Tiernan Bros. Plbg Gary In. email welcome

Of course, you could use a two part epoxy resin to fix the crack, saves the cost of a plumber and a new cistern
