HOT WATER TANK

        I’m have an problem I quess. My tank was running water out of a pipe that has a little vale on the side . the water has stop. however i did turn off the water just above the hot water tank. to stop the running. However i did turn it back on no water have come out just yet. and its making noise still. please help me.

          It sounds like you eaither have an air block in the tank, or tha the leak is from the preasure saftey valve. This is surposed to drip when the tank is full with hot water to reduce the preasure and prevent the tank from exploding. It might be worth while getting a plumber in to look at it

            The Temperature and Pressure relief valve is NOT supposed to drip when the water heater is full of water. This is a safety device. If it drips constantly, you probably have a thermal expansion problem and need to add a thermal expansion tank.

            It could also be faulty and not seating very good and needs to be replaced.
