        Hello all,

I found a helpful topic on the forum directing me to the manufacturer’s instructions and have succesfully replace the cartridge (MOEN 1225) on my tub/shower single handle, but the faucet is still dripping. Where else should I look? I suspect this is leading to larger gas bills as the dripping water is warm even when closed handle is turned to cold position. This leads me to believe that the cartridge was not bad in the first place. Hmmm?

The same thing happened to me when I tried to replace the original Moen brass cartridge with a new brass cartridge. However, after replacing the brass cartridge with a plastic one, it stopped leaking.

Hmm you got me. May be there is a pin hole in the body of the unit allowing water to pass. Remove the cartridge and carefully visually inspect the body looking for defects.
