I cannot find any reference in NY State plumbing codes that prohibits doubling trapping a fixture or drain…. HELP!!!!!!!!

Its in the code you just have to look. Sometime people would go to box stores and the clerk would say use 2 traps like an S trap and P trap and connect them together to hook up drain on sink, I run across a few, its againt code and you get an air lock between traps slows down drain and usually stops up. I will see if I can find it in my old code book.

In Uniform Plbg. code 1997 sec. traps 1004.0 Traps Prohibited It says no fix. shall be double traped.
