Please be nice as this is probably a fairly goofy question….but…
We have a septic tank system and belwo it we have a fairly large drainage field. Th field has (I am estimating) 6″ to 8″ pipes running through it back and forth separated by about 15 feet. I think they are under ground by about a foot but don’t quote em on that. About 12″ down is a cloth sheet. I think this is a fairly standard drain priavte field.
My question is, we were told not to plant any trees or anythign else with bark in the field, but can we have a small campfire?
I am guessig we can, but I suyre would like to ahve some one verify that!

as long as there are no open spaces big enough to allow the fire to get to the cloth you should be ok just walk around and smell for any strong odors or seepage on to the ground if there are none then you would be ok to proceed with your campfire as long as you take the appropriate precautions to keep the fire from spreading. also as long as the system has been installed long enough for a good sealing of the topsoil.and has allowed the grass to start to grow again you should be okay. thundrr

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer. My 3 year old will be enjoying herself this evening as we will we camping in our backyard!
