We have a strong smell of sewer gases coming into the house lately, we discovered what we thought was the problem being that the vent was freezing over, so we poured hot water down it, but it dosen’t seem to be clearing up the smell. Is it possible that the vent could be blocked with more than just ice, ie leaves or something else that could get in from the outside, if so what can we do to clear it.

When the weather gets warmer have this vent line WATER jetted NOT snaked.

The water jetter WILL remove any build up that may be restricting the piping diameter plus scale deposits while flushing them away at the same time
