        Hey guys/gals,

I’m wondering how to obtain a medical gas brazing license? My plumbing code book states that I need to be certified according to “NFPA 99C, Standard on Gas and Vacuum Systems, 2002 Edition”. Anyone have this book or any idea on what I need to do to obtain this license?

        Thanks,
        Zeek

I was a Proctor for many years so plumber’s and pipefitters could become certified as Medical Gas Systems Installers.

If they have not been blowing or flooded away.

Thank You Australia for your help.

you need a med gas cert when you do anything having to do with installing any systems that need to be pure(hostpitals ect) the course we take is 80hours i believe, then a 100 question test thats a bear, the you burn two joints-one vertical and one horizintal.the joints must be 100% full and the coupons are sent to an indepent testing lab for certification…after you pass, every 6mons you have to recertify,or have proof of continoius working in the med gas field….they take it very serious because of the extreme chance of killing someone…hopd this helped…why did you need to know? do you have to get a cert for a job?
