        I have a copper 50 gal Hoyt hot water heater 45 years old and need a control valve as the pilot will not stay lit, it burns too low. any ideas where I might locate one? Rita [email protected]

          From your description it would appear to me that you do not need a new “gas control” but rather a full service of your burner assembly and pilot with the possibility of a replacement safety device – DON’T play with it!!!!!!! get an expert to do it for you.
          The costs they charge you will ensure you have peace of mind and assurance of a well done and safe job.
