m.finan. Gas Kills!. Take the heater to a licensed gasfitter or a manufacturer to have it converted. otherwise take out extra insurance for your criminal neglect “if you can” but dont forget the “duty of Disclosure” clauses when filling out the forms.

To convert an appliance from Natural Gas to LPG
you need to allow for a higher pressure of gas.

First step is to remove the Natural gas regulator, this is now controlled by the cylinder regulator.

Next step is to reduce the size of the burner injectors, due to the raise in pressure you now need to lower the volume of gas used.
This is done by measuring the size of hole in the injector used on natural gas. Using a BTU or MJ chart you can determain the amount of gas used for a set sized injector.
You then use the MJ or BTU rating on a LPG chart to give you the correct injector size.
Change the injector to the correct size for each and every injector including the pilot on the appliance.

Next stage test the appliance for the new gas and adjust airation ports to suit.

Warning, If you make the injector sizes too small, the flame will draw too much primary air and may blow out the flame causing gas to escape.
            Or
If you make the injector sizes too large, the flame will not draw enough primary air and will cause excessive carbon monoxide gas in the flue products, This is very hard to detect and very easy for someone to die from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Please, if you are not trained or qualified to do this work, DON’T. you may kill the one’s you love.
