We have a 1100 gallon tank that measures 8′ 12′ that we are trying to heat. There will be water and liquid iron phosphate in the tank. We have three 3″ diameter stainless steel tubes going through the tank. We placed a 1 1/2″ drilled pipe gas burner in the tube. This doesn’t burn correctly. If anyone has a suggestion on how to heat this tank or on the correct tubing size that should be used, please reply. If you can lead us to someplace where we can find this information, we would appreciate it.

When you say 8′ 12′ is this a round tank? Or rectangle?
You may want to consider using a heat exchanger rather then making your own burner
