I am installing the plumbing for a new sink, diposal, etc. I dont want an airgap on my sink/ code regulations are not an issue, but I do want an opperational DW. Suggestions and step by step would be appreciated.

The only way you can do it is put the hose up against the sink top as high as possiable. If you took out permit the insp. might not pass it.

Our state plumbing code permits the diswasher to discharge into an air-gap below the sink after you rise as high as possible with the discharge hose. Check with the local plumber inspector if you can istall it this way.
