My garbage disposal hums when you turn it on then shuts off. If you let the water run in the sink it backs up but will slowly drain.
The other half of my sink works fine. Please help me unclog the mess. By the way I don’t know anything about pipes.

Sounds like you have something stuck in the grinder, do you have a wrench are socket, look in bottom of disp. and you will see a hex openning, try a socket are the wrench that came with it and try to turn it, if you cant thentake a bromm and stick it done on the blade and try to turn it clockwise.
