        I am remodeling my bathroom. The shower base will not come out. It is fiberglass and is loose except for the drain area. I took off the drain cover and looked for the rubber gaskets etc. but there seems to be lead around the mouth of the drain. The house was built about 30 years ago. Can Anybody help? My project has stopped.

          If it is lead,drill it out with a drill,then you will probably find oakum under the lead,remove it with a screwdriver or something with a hook on the end
