Do you have a water softener installed in the house? If so, place it in the bypassed position and see if the noise disappears. The other common source of this type of noise is a faulty pressure reducing valve. If you have one, use a pressure gauge to check the pressure before a faucet is opened, while the faucet is running, and after the faucet is turned off. The pressure should be the same at all these three times. You may find that the noise occurs after the faucet is turned off until the pressure reaches its maximum point on the pressure gauge.
