The house is 10 years old. We are now experiencing pin holes in the copper pipes that supply hot water. We have a recirculating H/W pump. The pipes are buried below the concrete foundation. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it??
The water is probably slightly acidic. In Seattle the city water is tough on copper pipes, especially in apartment buildings and condo’s. When I worked for a mechanical contractor several years ago we did a fair amount of business replacing copper wter lines. Copper usually was uesd again but we made sure that we used the heavy wall type m copper pipe.
