Approximately how many BTU’s should my boiler be? Many Thanks John Harrison 22 Feb 2001 at 12:20 am #290111 SylvanLMPParticipant It should be sized big enough for the AVERAGE coldest day figuring the AVERAGE amount of insulation using the AVERAGE sized piping Based on the AVERAGE sized circulator Also considering the AVERAGE height of the ceiling and AVERAGE heat losses based on AVERAGE window sizes. Most importantly the AVERAGE temperature the AVERAGE person feels comfortable with. 22 Feb 2001 at 2:40 am #290112 GuestParticipant Sylvan, I think the average guy can understand that answer.
