I presently have a single pipe oil fired steam heat system. I am putting on an addition to the house and am converting to gas as a fuel source and will be purchasing a new boiler. Is there a way to combine a steam and hot water system using one boiler?

If the boiler has enough latent capacity, it can be done. However,it should be done by someone experienced in the process, and is not inexpensive.
