My waterheater is singing a high pitched noise at irregular intervals. Noise reverberates throughout the entire house. Nothing seems to cause the problem. Hoping for a possible solution.
It is possible for electric elements to take on a vibration and fuel-fired heaters to tea-kettle from dirt traps. After the singing has stopped, turn the power or fuel off until you need hot water again – to see if it is making the noise only during a reheating.
