Why does my pump run every time we draw water? It is set to come on at 30 and shut off at 50. We used to be able to draw alot of water before the pressure drop to 30 and came on. I don’t know to much about them, except if the diaphram would be bad. What else would be wrong with it? Thanks in advance for any help!

This happened to us a couple of months ago. When the water was turned on the pump would run constantly until the water was turned off. The problem we encountered was a faulty pressure tank. The tank had some sediment in it and the bladder was leaking causing the tank to not hold a positive pressure. It cost us about $175.00 for a new tank including installation.
The other problem could be a bad foot valve at the end of the supply pipe inside the well casing.
