when i flush my toilet, water goes into the bathtub, what will cause this

this is a indication that the main drain is either starting to block or is blocked. When you run water at the basin you probably get water in the tub also.

thought i better piont out the obvious, the water comming back up into the bath is raw sewerage. Dont stand in it unless you want some lovely growths on ya feet
