I am trying to find out how hot water heaters work. The operations. Like does the tank empty when
there is no power and the hot water is used etc. How does it use hot water, and fill at the same time? etc.
Any help would be appreciated. Or redirect me to where I can get an answer. Thanks -
The water tank is always full of water unless you have drained it out using the valve at its bottom. When you open a faucet, cold water enters the tank and forces the hot water out into the pipe and from there to the faucet. As the cold water comes in it is then heated.
