All of a sudden my toilet rocks when one is seated on it. What do i have to do to make it stop? It’s a new toilet – in use less sthan 1 year.

Probably your closet flange is up a little high are the bowl isnt seated in flange right. What you have to do is go to the box store and get some plastic shims, and go home and loosen nuts at the floor flange aboiut 2 turns and put shims in different places around bowl till it quits rocking and retighten nuts, that should take care of it.

Your flange bolts probably worked loose, so try tightening them up. Do not over-tighten, or you may crack the base. The fact that the toilet “rocks” indicates, as RP said, that the flange may be a trifle high, or it may mean than the floor has gotten warped (check for leaks at the base). Shims can help in either case. But since the toilet didn’t rock at first, I’d suspect loose flange bolts on a less-than-flat base.
