suspect one blown element(thought I heard element break/pop) is it ok to use like this for a few days or should I turn power off ’til I can get replacement element?

I would replace it because you wont get much hot water and you might cause other problems, let me know.

Check the element with a multimeter ( turn off the power to it first!! ), this will show if the element is ok or not.
