howone find the right faucet to replace the old ones in bathroom?

If the faucets you have are 4″ centersets, like the majority, you have a wide variety to choose from.
If the handles are spaced wide apart, say 8″, then you are getting into a higher end faucet which will diminish how many to choose from, cost selections.

How do you know if the faucets are 4″ centersets? How do you measure this?

Measure from center of handle to center of handle.

Only have one handle. You pull it up to run water, push down to stop and turn right or left to change water temp. I wouldn’t mind switching to a two handle. Can I do this with what I’ve got now? Thanks.
