I live in a remote area of Mexico–no plumbers — my tolet is leaking on the bottom where in meets the floor. Unlike in the states, in Mexico when they install a tolet they use cement around the base–not bolts. I have a small leak. Do I need to remove the tolet or can I just use some kind of calk around the bottom to stop the leak. If so what would you recomend. Thank you

What you need is to take up bowl and if it does not have a closet collar on install one and put down wax ring and install bolts and tighten down not to tight. send me your E-Mail add. and I will send Pic. are go to http://www.google.com and ask how to set toilet bowl.

Agree with RP. Your toilet is leaking at the base. Tou need to stop the leak. Caulking the base to the floor will allow the leak to continue.
