I want to install a water softner in a home not retrofitted for a water softner. What will hkappen to the plants that are watered with the soft water or is this a no win situation??
        Thanks,

softeners work by replacing an ion of hardness with an ion of SALT. dont use soft water for plants! look at your piping, you’ll see its not that hard to leave the outside faucets hard while piping the whole inside soft. yes, toilets too, they’re easier to clean and your wife will love you even more for it!
