started off in spring by attaching my garden hose to outdoor faucet. my hose has a handle on it so i can water plants. anyways.now i notice that if i take my handle off my hose my water runs all the time. put the handle back on the hose and it dont run. if i take hose off the faucet it runs all the time. dont know how to get it to stop running when i take the handle or the hose off. don’t wanna pay a plumber big money if it’s an easy fix. if anybody can help i would appreciate it.

Sounds like you need a new faucet washer, this is the hose bib you are talking about.
