Just had new colourbond roof & downpipes installed. After it rains and the water slows (or even with heavy condensation on roof), I get a dripping noise from inside the downpipe as drips fall the length of the pipe (about 2.5m, or 8ft) and hit the bottom. Old pipes were same rectangular shape and same configuration at base Driving us crazy and no sleep when it rains – any prcatical fix ideas??

Sleepless, your post suggests that yopu are from Australia as you talk about Colorbond roofing.
If I am correct. Do you have stormwater? or does the downpipes discharge over a pad?

Cut the 90 off the bottom of downspout and put a PVC 90 in its place.
