I installed a new Richmond (Rheem) water heater 4 weeks ago. It is starting to emit water out of the
presure relief valve. It has done it 3 times now and each time more water comes out. I have the heater set on
warm. The last time it did it, the washer had just started to run. We were using the warm/cold cycle. What is
causing this problem? Is their a problem with the valve or the heater itself. Is it dangerous? Thank-you very
much for any help you can give me.

Kevin, I am not a professional but I had the same problem with a new relief valve. I simply replaced the relief valve again and it solved the problem. Somrtimes I guess you get one with a weak spring. They are around $ 5-6.00.
          Good Luck
